A Dinner with an Unexpected Friend

I have a friend whom i have known him for about 3 years since we started working and we never get to have dinner together till I left.. I should say that he is the first person I know ther. Finally we managed to meet up to have our first dinner last night after much ding-dongs at East Coast..
We spoke about a lot of things on each other and he also let me know a lot of news, updates and gossips too.. Then we kinda drew a conclusion that we kinda spent so much time in the company that it is almost equivalent to selling our souls...
Somehow someone is involved or related to someone in the same company that becomes the culture in the company.. is it that we spent so much time there and so it becomes a natural thing that we will somehow be involved with someone in the same company?
The interesting thing is also that everyone is seeing each other and never into the boy-girl relationship. Everyone is free to date others at the same time - interesting phenomenon.. Some are even 2-timings at the same time... Does this just happen for that company or it has become a trend everywhere? it no longer seems to be the guy thing but the girls are also doing the same thing.. playing the field.. Does that mean that girls have also learn to be smart & no longer just bang all their expectations on 1 guy or they are beginning to display their suppressed hidden traits?
My friend has an interesting theory of his contract relationships which i still cant understand why. i think maybe everyone has their own ways and rules of playing this game call relationship.
